Much better way to repair threads than using a tab and die set. Not only will your cleaned up threads still feel tight and right after you do this, you can actually reach all of the threads.
Using a tap and die set results in sloppy threads. When dealing in original and old scooter parts it's important that you take great care to maintain them.
